Local man, 21, died after being struck by train near Broughty Ferry, confirms BTP

British Transport Police has confirmed the person killed by a train near Balmossie on Friday night was a 21-year-old-man.

It is understood the man is from Carnoustie.

There are no suspicious circumstances.

Emergency services were called to Balmossie Railway Station just after 9pm on Friday.
