The X Factor has become embroiled in a “fix” claim after it emerged that a finalist has been booked to perform at a Fife nightclub on the same day as the live finals.
Rapper Honey G was “confirmed” for Kirkcaldy party spot Kitty’s on December 10 in a now-deleted post on the venue’s Facebook page.
The post left devoted fans of the show questioning the legitimacy of the live finals, as they are also due to take place on December 10.
The X Factor final is on Saturday 10th of December but Honey G is going to kitty's on the 10th???? FIX!!!!!!!
A spokesman for the show denied the claims, saying: “There is no foundation to any fix claims.
The club was mistaken in their Facebook post that she would be there on 10 December and the post has since been removed.”
A representative of Kitty’s claimed they had secured the date on the basis that Honey G would be eliminated by that point, but would rearrange if necessary.
