A full emergency response was scrambled in Arbroath on Thursday following an industrial accident.
The incident happened at Seaton Caravan Park at 2.45pm and police, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.
A man suffered serious injuries when he became trapped under a steel beam while working at the complex.
He was removed from under the beam by firefighters before he was passed into the care of paramedics and taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.
Firefighters remained at the site to make the scene safe.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Officers attended at Seaton Caravan Park in Arbroath at 2.45pm on Thursday following reports of an industrial accident.
“A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
“Health and Safety Executive were informed and enquiries are continuing.”
The site in Seaton Road is a mix of luxury residential park homes, holiday home accommodation and holiday rentals.
The estate’s country club is also a popular venue for functions including weddings and conferences.
A spokesman for Angus Council said: “The matter has been reported to us and our Environmental Health Officers are carrying out enquiries into the full circumstances of the incident.”
The site is set in 80 acres of woodland.
