Man to appear in court following death of Dundee grandad Gary McMillan

A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of Dundee grandfather Gary McMillan.

Mr McMillan, 44, died following an incident in Lawton Terrace in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The suspect is expected to appear from custody in the city’s sheriff court on Thursday.

A murder inquiry was launched by Police Scotland following Mr McMillan’s death.

Neighbour Yvonne Mukart, 56, told how she had been left heartbroken by his death and said Mr McMillan “got along with everybody”.

Police Scotland said inquiries continue into the case and urged anyone with information which could help to come forward.
