Five members of Dundee United’s famous 1987 team have helped to launch a new book marking 30 years since the club reached the UEFA Cup final.

Dave Narey, Paul Hegarty, John Holt, Jim McInally and Dave Bowman signed copies for fans at the launch of The Final Countdown at the club shop.

The book was produced by Courier online editor Richard Rooney and graphic artist Gus Proctor and uses the newspaper’s archives to re-tell a famous season for the Tangerines, in which they beat Barcelona and Borussia Moenchengladbach on the way to the final.

The book tells the story from the club's and the fans' side as the remarkable run to the final progressed.
