A 15-year-old boy was hit by a car outside Morgan Academy in Dundee on Friday. The accident happened around 1pm on Pitkerro Road near a pedestrian crossing and involved a silver Toyota Aygo. The teenager escaped serious injuries but was taken to Ninewells Hospital as a precaution. Both the windscreen and the left headlight of the car were damaged as a result of the collision. The driver of the car was not hurt but was left visibly shaken by the incident. Traffic was brought to a standstill while police attended the incident. A spokesman for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said:Â “A silver Toyota has been involved in a collision with a 15-year-old boy. “There are no apparent serious injuries.”
