Police are investigating the death of a man near the Tay Road Bridge.
The incident happened at the Fife side of the bridge. Tay Street, in Newport, was closed as a result.
A police cordon was also set up.
Commenting on the ongoing investigation, a Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed: “Police in Fife are investigating following a death of a man at the Tay Bridge.
“The incident happened around 8.40am on Wednesday.
“Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
The spokeswoman added that Tay Street was reopened to members of the public shortly after midday.
