A fresh appeal has been made to track down a man who robbed an elderly Fife woman in her home.
More than four months after the man forced the terrified pensioner into her home in Crossford and robbed her of several items, the suspect remains at large.
Police Scotland has reissued footage of a man they believe could help their investigation, who was caught on CCTV at a petrol station.
The man is described as being 5ft 8in tall and of medium build.
He has short light coloured hair and is believed to speak with a foreign accent, which could be eastern European.
It is believed he may drive a black coloured Vauxhall Mokka and have links to the Greenock and the Clackmannanshire areas.
The 76-year-old victim was approached by a knife wielding thug outside her home in the village’s Lundin Road at around 11pm on Friday May 4.
The robber forced her back into her home and then stole items including jewellery and a number of cameras.
It happened only hours after a Kirkcaldy pensioner was robbed in his own home in Nicol Street.
Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan from Dunfermline CID said: “We have previously released CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
“Unfortunately, we have yet to identify this man, and as a result, I am now releasing moving CCTV footage which will hopefully further assist in someone identifying him.
“Anyone who recognises him is urged to contact either police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”
Those with information can contact Dunfermline CID via 101 and quote incident number 0099 of May 5. Alternatively, an anonymous report can be made via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
