Thousands of shoppers are expected to flock to Dundee’s shops tomorrow as the start of the Christmas shopping season is marked.
And the deals that will be on offer at the Overgate across Black Friday weekend, beginning tomorrow at 8am, have been revealed.
Prices at a number of retailers in the store have been slashed, with the centre itself staying open until 9pm on Friday.
Discounts include 75% off designer brands at The Fragrance Shop, half price deals on electrical and fashion products and 50% off of selected items of clothing in Topshop, Quiz, Miss Selfridge and Holland & Barrett.
There will be up to 30% off at JD Sports, 25% off at New Look and 20% off full price items at Office.
Boots, Superdry, Smiggle and The Perfume Shop are also offering deals, with Argos running a 14-day promotion offering “special prices” across all departments.
River Island is offering 20% off a £75 spend or more, Sports Direct is offering £10 off every £50 spent, with the £10 being handed out as a voucher, USC will offer 20% off plus a £20 voucher for every £100 spent.
Footasylum will be announcing daily offers until Monday 27th November.
Overgate Centre Manager Malcolm Angus said: “Overgate is geared up for Black Friday with many retailers offering fantastic promotions and discounts.
“Last year we saw 51,000 customers come through Overgate’s doors on Black Friday alone, and with the promotion extended across the full weekend this year, we are anticipating another very busy event.”
Black Friday is the name given to the day following the US holiday of Thanksgiving. It has become more and more popular in the UK in recent years.
