A car caught fire near a filling station on the A90 outside Dundee on Saturday morning.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision in the westbound lane around 6.19am.
One of the cars caught fire and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel to put out the flames.
The driver of one vehicle was treated by paramedics at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the aftermath of the collision but were able to re-open one lane before 8am.
