Police are keen to track a man who acted inappropriately in front of children.

The A9 near the House of Bruar was blocked on Sunday following a four vehicle accident.

The incident was reported shortly before 4.10pm and motorists were advised to avoid the area and take alternative routes while the incident was dealt with and the carriageway cleared.

Scottish Fire and Rescue sent units to the scene to assist but no one was trapped in their vehicles.

In total four people were reported to have been injured but it was understood that none of the injuries sustained were life threatening.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene to convey the injured to hospital for treatment though this was due to the distance of the accident from hospital rather than the severity of the injuries.

Inevitably the accident caused delays for motorists caught up approaching the accident scene and there were some tailbacks in either direction.

The scene of the accident was between the B8079 Pitnagowan and the B847 Calvine on a single stretch section of the road.

The A9 between Perth and Inverness is currently the subject of a £3 billion dualling programme, one of the largest infrastructure projects ever undertaken in Scotland.

While the project is underway average speed cameras have been installed along the route and have been credited with curbing excessive speeds.
