A man has died and another has been seriously injured in a crash on the M90.
Emergency services were called to the scene between Kelty and Blairadam shortly after 7am.
The northbound carriageway was closed until just after 2pm while police dealt with the incident. Trraffic was diverted through Kelty.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that one man has sadly died and another man has been seriously injured after a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on the M90 northbound this morning.
“Emergency services were called to the scene between junction 4 and 5 just after 7am.
“The injured man has been taken to hospital in Edinburgh.
“Enquiries into the collision are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area this morning and witnessed the collision to come forward quoting incident number 1207 of May 26.”

There is no indication as to whether the weather was a factor in the crash.
An eyewitness said the car had come to rest in trees at the side of the road.
She said: “The car was facing the wrong way and was hard up against a tree. The passenger door was open and there were a number of other drivers who had stopped to help.”
Another motorist passing the scene in the opposite direction said police had erected a green tent over the vehicle.
Tailbacks from the closure are reported to be at least a mile long.
