Alyth residents are having problems drying their clothes after vandals targeted washing lines in the town.
A number of lines were cut in rear gardens during a bizarre night-time attack on properties in St Ninians Terrace.
Householders discovered the damage on Sunday morning and reported the matter to Police Scotland.
Local officers are keen to track down those responsible for the mindless vandalism and have issued an appeal for witnesses.
