The organiser of T in the Park has said no plans are in place for a return of the festival next year.
Geoff Ellis, chief executive of festival organisers DF Concerts, was speaking ahead of this weekend’s TRNSMT festival in Glasgow, which he said will become an annual event.
More than 100,000 fans are expected to see acts like Radiohead and Kasabian perform in Glasgow.
Mr Ellis said T in the Park could co-exist with the new festival but no decisions have yet been taken about whether it will return next year.
T in the Park had been staged successfully at Balado near Kinross for years but moved to Strathallan Estate near Auchterarder in 2015.
Organisers said the festival would not take place this year because a pair of nesting ospreys made it logistically impossible to stage the event.
