Take a look inside Cupar’s Corn Exchange where more than 35 distilleries and independent bottlers showcased their spirits at Fife Whisky Festival.
The Kingdom’s only whisky festival started with an opening dinner at Lindores Abbey Distillery last night. Tickets for the popular festival sold out in two days, which is a new record since launching in 2017.
The St Catherine Street venue hosted two tasting sessions on Saturday for a total of 650 visitors.
Exhibitors included Kingsbarns Distillery, Aberfeldy Distillery, Eden Mill and InchDairnie Distillery outside Glenrothes. St Andrews’ Luvians Bottle Shop, the festival’s on-site retailer, was also on hand for whisky purchases.
The annual festival highlights the renaissance of whisky-making in Fife by bringing together the best whisky producers in the region and beyond.
Since the first event in 2018, Angels’ Share Glass managing director Karen Somerville and Kask Whisky founder Justine Hazlehurst have run the festival.
Karen said: “We’re delighted with the ongoing success of the festival which has got bigger and better every year since we started.
“We’re always pleased to receive great feedback from distillers and festival-goers about how much they’ve enjoyed the festival and how well run it is.
“We’ve very much looked forward to this weekend’s events.”
