Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after a bus driver was assaulted in Forfar on Tuesday 24 July.
The Montrose to Forfar bus was stopped on East High Street in Forfar when the assault happened around 8.45pm.
A search was made of the area by police officers but the man, who was a passenger, had made off.
The male driver did not suffer any injuries.
Officers are keen to speak to man described as about 18 years old, five foot eleven inches in height, wearing a dark jacket and black Adidas jogging bottoms.
