A 40-year-old man has appeared in Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court accused of housebreaking. Kevin Stewart, of Buckhaven, appeared on petition in private on Thursday and was remanded in custody. He made no plea and was committed for further examination. Stewart’s appearance followed an alleged theft from a flat in Leven where a 32-year-old man died in a fire on February 21. Kay Fleming, 36, of Leven, was arrested but liberated without charge.
