A Dunfermline youth asked a hotel worker if she wanted to be in a porn shoot with him and another male.
The worker was left “horrified and scared” by Cameron Allan’s creepy request, made worse when he then showed her a graphic picture of a male exposing himself.
The 19-year-old later claimed he had been joking but his actions came close to landing him in prison when he appeared at the city’s sheriff court to be sentenced for the breach of the peace.
Allan, of Berrylaw Place in Dunfermline, admitted the offence at the Holiday Inn Express in the city’s Halbeath Road on February 16 last year.
‘Horrified and scared’
Sheriff Francis Gill told him: “It was an extremely upsetting incident for the complainer, who has described feeling horrified and scared by your actions.”
Allan admitted conducting himself in a disorderly manner by engaging the woman, an employee there, in conversation and telling her of his intention to engage in the recording of a pornographic video involving him and another male participating in sexual activity.
Court papers state he suggested he could arrange for the woman to take part in the porn video.
He also showed her an indecent image of a male exposing his genitals, all to her distress, placing her in a state of alarm and committing a breach of the peace.
No ‘significant sexual element’
Defence lawyer Alexander Flett told the court since Allan’s guilty plea in October, discussions had taken place about whether there was a significant sexual element to the offence.
The lawyer added: “The conclusion is there was not a significant sexual element”.
Mr Flett said a social work report indicates the issues his client has and said he is currently complying on a voluntary basis with supervision.
Sheriff Gill said: “I am concerned you lack insight into the offence so I am going to impose a community payback order”.
The sheriff sentenced Allan to supervision by the social work department for 18 months as an alternative to custody.
