A 63-year-old woman has been charged with fraudulently claiming more than £20,000 in benefits.
Mary Smith, of Largo Place, Broughty Ferry, is accused of failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in her circumstances that she knew affected her entitlement to benefits.
The charge states that she claimed £20,341.27 in Severe Disablement Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance to which she was not entitled, over a period of more than four years between December 12 2011 and July 22 2016.
The charge further states Smith was fit to work and began paid employment at Dundee City Council, while receiving the benefits.
She pled not guilty and is due to be tried on May 10, with an intermediate diet on April 17.
