A concert will take place in memory of Dundee boxer Mike Towell.
The gig has been arranged for Saturday October 22 at Buskers, with all proceeds going to family members.
Mike, 25, died from a head injury incurred while competing in a boxing match in Glasgow at the end of September.
The show will feature up and coming Dundee band The Unromantics, whose bass player Gordon Hennessey was friends with Mike, according to band manager and concert organiser Stuart Robertson.
Stuart said: “The band and I wanted to do something to help Mike’s family at this difficult time.
“I’ve been inundated by bands from all over Scotland who have asked to play in his memory. We are going to have to pick names out of a hat.
“There will be an open mic session during the evening, so if people want to get up and play a song for Mike they can do.
“The reaction to the show has been phenomenal, the people of Dundee want to show their appreciation at this sad time.
“Buskers have kindly offered to host the show for free, and all of the proceeds will be handed over to Mike’s family for them to decide best what to do with.”
A fund set up in the aftermath of the young boxer’s death by boxing legend Ricky Hatton has raised more than £46,000 in aid of Mike’s family.
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn also confirmed more than £7,400 had been raised for the family from ticket sales at a recent bout between Ricky Burns and Kiryl Relikh.
