A man has been arrested by police investigating the “suspicious” deaths of a man and a woman in Dundee’s West End.
The pair’s bodies were found at a flat in Rosefield Street at 9pm on Sunday.
A high-profile police presence soon descended on the street.
The incident was initially described as “unexplained” but Police Scotland have now confirmed it is being treated as suspicious.
The man found dead in the flat has been named locally as Ronnie Kidd, but police stress no formal identification has been carried out.
A spokesman said: “Police Scotland attended at Rosefield Street, Dundee, at 9pm on Sunday following the sudden deaths of a man and woman.
“The deaths are being now being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing.
“A review of CCTV is currently being carried out, along with house-to-house inquiries.”
The arrested man is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
Detective Inspector Brian Geddes, who is leading the investigation, said: “I would be keen to hear from anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the Rosefield Street area in the days between Thursday December 8 and Sunday December 11.”
