The death of a father who was killed when a tractor he was driving tipped over on a Fife country road is to be probed by a sheriff.
A fatal accident inquiry is to be held into the June 2017 incident, in which Malcolm White, 53, from Pittenweem, died when the Case farm tractor overturned on the Ovenstone to Carnbee road near Anstruther.
Announcing the probe, procurator fiscal Sineidin Corrins said the inquiry was mandatory because Mr White’s death was “the result of an accident that occurred while he was acting in the course of his employment”.
A preliminary hearing will be held at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on November 27, when a date will be set for evidence to be heard.
