A man has been found safe and well close to a Fife beauty spot this morning (Wednesday).
The emergency services were scrambled after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man close to Ravenscraig beach area in Kirkcaldy.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland, said: “We were alerted at 10.05am to concerns for a man from Dysart.
“We can confirm that a man has been traced safe and well and since been transferred by ambulance to hospital.”
Neil Chalmers from the RNLI station at nearby Kinghorn confirmed that Kinghorn lifeboat had be launched at around 10.22am to assist police in a missing person search of a coastal area close to Kirkcaldy.
He added: “The RNLI vessel conducted a shoreline search from Dysart to Blair Point and later stood down at around 11.30am.”
