Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a theft from a Fife jewellery shop.
The 18ct gold, 0.7ct diamond eternity ring was stolen from G. Masterton Jewellers in Leven last week by a man posing as a potential customer.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland, said: “A 23-year-old man has been charged following the theft of a ring from a jewellers in Leven.
“The incident was reported around 3.10pm on Tuesday, September 15 alleging a man had stolen a diamond ring worth a four figure sum from a jewellery store on the High Street.
“A 23-year-old was arrested and charged and he is due to appear at court at a later date.
Detective Constable Alan Shovlin, of Levenmouth CID, said: “We have been able to return the ring to the owners and we would like to thank them, as well as the public, for their help and cooperation during our investigation.”
