Police are investigating the death of a Kirkcaldy man who collapsed in the street on Saturday.
Father of two Darren Adie was found unconscious in Tweed Avenue at around 6.45pm and later died in hospital.
Local sources said the 42-year-old had been attacked with a knife.

An area of Tweed Avenue in the Gallatown was cordoned off, and a forensic tent put up.
Friend Shaun Aitchison sent his condolences to Mr Adie’s family.
He said: “I’ve known him most of my life. He was always nice to me and was a good dad to his kids.”
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “He was walking down from the lane and he just dropped.
“He had supposedly been stabbed.”
Mr Adie made visits to the Ladbrokes betting shop in St Clair Street and was well known in the area.
The neighbour added: “I think he’ll get a good send off.”
