[[success]] Email address Sign up Police are probing a serious assault which took place in a Kirkcaldy street in broad daylight on Monday afternoon. Emergency services were called to Hill Street near the junction with Whytescauseway during the lunch hour following an altercation between two men. A man in his 30s was injured and was taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital where he was said to be in a “serious” condition. The other man involved has not yet been traced, and police are keen to speak to him as soon as possible. A police cordon was put in place in Hill Street throughout the afternoon as officers began their investigation. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Fife are investigating following a serious assault in Kirkcaldy on Monday 31st October. “The incident happened around 1.50 pm on Hill Street.” Anyone who was in the area at the time should contact officers on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
