A woman’s death in Thornton is not being treated as suspicious by police.
An investigation was launched when the body of Lorraine Fowler, 39, was found in a flat in Donald Crescent on Valentine’s Day.
Her death was initially said to be unexplained and there was intensive police activity around the property, which is in the street where two-year-old Liam Fee died in 2014.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Glenrothes were called to an address in Donald Crescent, Thornton, around 8am on Tuesday February 14 in relation to the death of a 39-year-old woman.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
