Three people have been arrested and charged after a drugs raid in Glenrothes on Thursday.
Two women, aged 38 and 16, and a 39-year-old man are due to appear in court after a tip-off from the public led to heroin worth £7,240 and cannabis worth £70 being seized from an address in Bighty Avenue.
A four-figure sum of cash was also seized by officers under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
It is understood the operation came after members of the public gave information to officers from Police Scotland’s Safer Communities Prevention Task Force who had been patrolling in the Kingdom Shopping Centre.
Sergeant Chris Mutter, of Glenrothes police station, said: “This was an excellent example of members of the community supplying us with vital information that resulted in a large quantity of dangerous drugs being removed from the streets of Glenrothes.”
