The father of missing Allan Bryant Jr says that he is struggling to sleep as the search of a local house enters a fourth week.
Police officers remain at the terraced house in Glenrothes’ Barnton Place having initiated a search of the property on June 14.
It followed fresh information being supplied to investigators in the search for missing Allan Bryant Jr, who has been missing for almost four years.
As the agonising wait for news from the scene continues, Allan Bryant Sr said that the psychological strain is beginning to take its toll.
“Marie, Allan’s mum, is getting up in the middle of the night and that’s getting me up as well and we start talking,” he said.
“But there’s nothing we can do about it.
“It’s hard but we know it’s going to take time.
“I’m driving by the house three times a day but we know we have to wait for the police to contact us.”
Allan Jr was 23 when he disappeared after a night out with friends on November 3 2013.
He had been at Styx Nightclub on the town’s Caskieberran Road, with CCTV footage showing him leaving the venue in the early hours of the morning.
The search for the Allan Jr, who would now be 27, is the biggest missing person investigation ever undertaken in Fife.
However, Allan Sr has repeatedly stated his belief that his son is dead and that the search is now for a body.
