Up to 30,000 people crowded into Dunfermline’s Pittencrieff Park on Saturday night for Fife’s largest fireworks event.
The spectacular display was accompanied by some of the biggest chart hits recently to tie in with this year’s “Poptastic” theme.
The huge crowd was entertained by an Ariana Grande tribute act and Kingdom FM DJs before the explosive evening really got under way, creating a family-friendly party atmosphere.
Chris Foote, events manager for Dunfermline Delivers, said: “The Dunfermline fireworks display is now recognised as one of the biggest and best in Scotland with people coming from all over the country.”
It was one of a number of impressive events held across the kingdom on Saturday night, including the annual Cupar display at the town’s golf club.
Last night, Burntisland came to a standstill as thousands travelled to be involved in the festivities there.
The traditional bonfire and fireworks on the Links featured a programme of entertainment and music, as well as stalls, rides and refreshments.
Children and adults were impressed by the colourful display at what is always a well-organised event.
Events also took place in Cardenden, Glenrothes, Newport, Elie and Crossford, with families taking advantage of the clear skies.
