Emergency services were called to the scene on Townhill Road at around 12.50pm. It is understood that the boy was attempting to cross the road from behind a bus and was struck by a Peugeot 208. The youngster has been taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police remain on the scene as collision investigation work is carried out.
