An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after emergency services were called to a residential property in Tayport on Friday night.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel were all in attendance in Tay Street after police received a report of concern for a person.
Firefighters broke into the house to allow police and paramedics inside, and an 82-year-old woman was treated at the scene for what has been described as a “medical matter”.
She was taken to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital for further checks, but her condition is not thought to be life threatening.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had been called to “effect entry” to an address in Tay Street at around 9.35pm, but left the scene shortly after.
Police Scotland said they were in attendance as a matter of course.
