Police are probing reports of a “crazy” road rage attack in north Fife on Tuesday evening. Witnesses said other drivers were forced out of the way during a car chase near Leuchars, which started when one vehicle had its windows smashed. One man described the scenes on the A919, near St Michael’s junction, as “insane” and said four or five cars may have been hit during the incident. “Two cars stopped suddenly,” he said. “Two men got out of the car in front and smashed the car behind’s windows. “The damaged car fled and the two guys got back in and chased after. “What followed was some of the most crazy driving I have ever seen. “They even tried to force each other into a bus.” He added: “They must have hit four or five cars along the way and took off towards Cupar.” Police Scotland confirmed officers were investigating reports of a disturbance. It is believed the cars involved had left the scene by the time police arrived. A spokesperson said: “Police attended the roadway at the junction of the A9191 and A914 between Leuchars and St Michaels. “Inquiries are ongoing.”
