A 30-year-old woman missing from Kirkcaldy has been found.
Nicola O’Hara was last seen on Tuesday evening and her family were growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing.
She was traced in Dunfermline safe and well on Thursday afternoon.
Members of the public were thanked for helping the police appeal to find her.
A helicopter and rescue teams from the Marine and Coastguard Agency were involved in the hunt.
Lifeboat crew and lifeguards were also drafted in as an area from Seafield beach, near Ms O’Hara’s home, to Dysart was scoured.
Police said on Thursday morning they were also looking for Ms O’Hara in Dunfermline.
A statement issued by Police Scotland a few hours later said: “We’re pleased to confirm that Nicola O’Hara from Kirkcaldy has been traced safe and well.
“The 30-year-old was found within the Dunfermline area at around 1.30pm on Thursday August 22.
“Thanks to the public for their assistance with this appeal.”
