A man has been taken hospital after allegedly being slashed in the face during an incident in Dysart.
The 32-year-old was found injured near a pub on the High Street on Thursday evening.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Police said they had arrested a 34-year-old man. It is understood that no charges have yet been made.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Fife have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with a serious assault on a 32-year-old man in Dysart High Street in the evening of Thursday May 31. Inquiries remain ongoing.”
