Two deer have had to be put down after being found injured on the M90 near Halbeath.
Police Scotland were alerted to the incident at 6.43am on Saturday December 15 by a passing motorist who had seen the injured animals near the Halbeath interchange.
A spokesman for the police said: “Unfortunately, neither survived.”

The Scottish SPCA was contacted and the animals had, sadly, to be euthanised.
The incident did not cause any significant delays on the motorway.
