A 38-year-old man is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court today in connection with recent dog thefts from homes in rural Perthshire.
Police Scotland confirmed on Thursday morning that a man had been arrested in charge in connection with alleged thefts at Meikleour and Forneth, along with a number of other offences.
He is in custody and due to appear in court this afternoon.
One of the dogs, a young Jack Russell, was delivered to vets in the Worcestershire town of Bromsgrove, about 360 miles from Blairgowrie.
It is understood the three other dogs are still missing.
