Oor Wullie visits Perth

Perth Musuem and Art Gallery receive Oor Wullie statues as part of the extended Bucket Trail.
Perth Musuem and Art Gallery receive Oor Wullie statues as part of the extended Bucket Trail.

The Oor Wullie Bucket Trail visited Perth on Monday.

A total of 10 statues of the famous scamp arrived in the Fair City as part of the fundraiser for the Archie Foundation.

The visit was part of a new exhibition at Perth Museum and Art Gallery at Perth called ‘Player: Videogame Interaction from Atari to Toys to Life’.

They will be at the interactive gaming exhibition until Sunday.

Minecraft Wullie will take pride of place at the event, which celebrates the latest trends in digital play and the evolution of videogames.

Neighbouring businesses were keen to catch a glimpse of the creations and families had travelled from Dundee and Scone.

Oor Wullie’s Bucket Trail was launched in his home city of Dundee at the end of June.

All statues were individually designed and painted by an array of local and international artists.

They will also be in place throughout the summer in various Scottish cities and towns to raise money for Archie’s Tayside Children’s Hospital Appeal.

Six Wullies will be at Perth Museum and Art Gallery, with four located in the St John’s Shopping Centre in Perth
