A Perthshire politician has found himself at the centre of a new social media storm after posting an apparently innocuous comment on Twitter.
Mid Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser was inundated with responses when he tweeted about people asking him to comment on internet articles.
He posted on Monday morning: “One tiresome feature of Twitter is folk you don’t know sending you a link to an obscure article & asking ‘Any view on this?’. Answer is No.”
Within minutes, the internet was swift with its response.

The first came from journalist Ross McCafferty, who asked for Mr Fraser’s views on a previous Twitter indiscretion.

And the responses continued to come thick and fast.
