A number of new acts have been announced for one of the biggest music events taking place in Tayside this year.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will take to the stage at Scone Palace as part of BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend.
Last month Simple Minds and Nigel Kennedy were also announced for the event, which will take place from Friday, May 25 until Saturday, May 26.
And today the BBC revealed the acts that will join the former Oasis man on the Perthshire stage.

Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis will play the event as will Jamie Cullum, Amy McDonald, The Shires, Evelyn Glennie, The Beat starring Dave Wakeling, Danielle de Niese and the Scottish Jazz Orchestra direct by Tommy Smith.
More acts are still to be announced.
Music lovers in Perth and Kinross will have the opportunity to get their hands on tickets first with 60% of tickets reserved for those living in the Perth and Kinross Council area.
The Biggest Weekend takes place across four venues across four nations in the UK – Scone Palace, Singleton Park, Swansea, War Memorial Park, Coventry and Titanic Slipways in Belfast.
Tickets for The Biggest Weekend will go on sale on February 12, priced at £18 plus £4.50 booking fee.
