A surprise hailstorm halted traffic on a busy Scottish motorway.
Drivers on the M9 near Dunblane were forced to pull over during a sudden deluge of unusually large hailstones on Saturday afternoon.
Judy Murray was amongst those who posted footage of the freak conditions on social media. She said: “It’s June FFS. And snow and hail where I live.”

Similar conditions were reported on the A9 near Blackford.
The Perthshire region was hit by torrential downpours on Sunday morning, but local fire crews said there was no reported flooding issues.
