A Rattray woman was fined £200 for buying alcohol for a 14-year-old in Dundee.
Stacey Drummond, 18, of MacDonald Crescent, appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court after admitting buying alcohol for a 14-year-old at the Premier Store, Nethergate, on May 10.
The court heard inquiries into another matter led the complainer to make an admission she had been supplied alcohol by the accused. Investigations were carried out at the premises and Drummond admitted buying the drink.
Sheriff Derek Reekie told Drummond: “It is foolhardy, but also dangerous to buy alcohol for young people. You’re a young girl with your own challenges at the moment.”
