Police hunt callous thieves who stole from child’s graveside in Perth

Police are hunting thieves who desecrated a child’s grave at a Perth cemetery.

Bouquets of flowers, silver bows and several aluminium vase inserts were stolen from the plot at Wellshill Cemetery.

Police Scotland said the grave was targeted sometime between 4pm on Tuesday and 11am, the following day.

It comes just weeks after the Commonwealth War Graves Committee condemned a “deliberate and sustained” vandalism at the cemetery’s Polish War Graves section.
