Dundee United are to travel south to play a friendly against Shrewsbury Town. The Tangerines will take on the English League One side at  Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday, July 27 (KO 3pm). Shrews boss Sam Ricketts feels a test against Robbie Neilson’s side will provide his players with a different challenge. âIt is a really good game for us and is a little bit of a different type of game to play,” Ricketts said. âRather than play someone in the English system itâs good to have something different. âThey are a good side with a good following and hopefully it will be a good game. âIt will be a really good test for us before the season gets under way and is a game Iâm really pleased to have.â The date for the friendly is United’s free day during their Betfred Cup group campaign.
