Jim Weir’s defensive options will be stretched for today’s clash with in-form East Fife.
The Loons welcome a Methil side that has won five games in a row to Station Park and are likely to be without both Andy Munro and Michael Travis for the contest.
Weir reported: “Andy had to come off just before half-time last weekend with a knee injury.
“He hasn’t trained this week and is unlikely to play.
“Michael Travis is going to a wedding.”
Lewis Moore and John Baird are also “struggling” to be fit, Weir revealed.
It will be a tough test for Forfar as the first quarter of the league fixtures are completed.
Weir said: “Darren Young has built a strong team there. They were near the bottom and four wins in a row have taken them a long way up the table.
“We want to get our first win in a few games.
“Saturday’s game against Montrose swung both ways.
“There’s no doubt that losing Andy (Munro) when we did was a blow. It never helps when you have to change your defence during a game.
“But Mark Hill did really well for us and there are other positives to take from the game.
“If you get a draw away from home it only becomes a good point if you win your next home game.”
