Be one of the first to enjoy the Old Course Hotel’s revamped events facilities in 2021.

Works started in January of this year to renovate and expand the world-famous Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews.

The project is set to increase the hotel’s business and events facilities, with plans to expand conference facilities and add a new events space entrance, which will include a reception area and porte cochere.

Elsewhere, bedroom capacity will be increased, outdoor landscaping will take place and additional car parking spaces (including electric charging points) will be created.

Above you can see the current external view of the hotel and below the proposed view.

The hotel already boasts a unique location, stunning coastal views and a reputation for excellence, but the current project is set to make it a truly spectacular place to host business events.

“This renovation will involve a big improvement to our meetings and conference spaces and extra course-facing rooms which will allow us to ‘wow’ more guests with that incredible view of the Old Course and West Sands beach,” the hotel’s General Manager Helen McBride said.

Further hotel renovations

This current project comes following an extension and refurbishment of the hotel’s Kohler Waters Spa and Fitness Centre in 2018.

A few months prior to this, the hotel also refurbished a number of bedrooms and replaced the roof of the main building with one made of recycled car tyres to deflect stray golf balls.

Which is handy, considering the adjacent Old Course and famous links golf courses.

The five-red-star hotel, owned by Kohler Co, currently features 144 rooms including 35 elegant suites, six restaurants and bars, The Duke’s golf course and the award-winning Kohler Waters Spa and Fitness Centre.
