More than 500 city kids competed in the annual Dundee primary schools athletics championships.

And our photographer was there to capture the action on the track and field. We also have the full list of winners and runners-up.

P6 and P7 children put in impressive performances in events ranging from the 100 metres to the javelin and long jump.

Dundee Active Schools coordinators organised the event held at the Ronnie McIntosh Stadium in Caird Park on Wednesday.

Participating primary schools were: Ancrum Road, Ballumbie, Barnhill, Blackness, Camperdown, Claypotts Castle, Clepington, Dens Road, Eastern, Fintry, Forthill, Glebelands, Mill of Mains, Rosebank, Rowantree, Sidlaw View, Ss Peter and Paul, St Andrews, St Clements, St Fergus and Tayview.

Fellow school pupils, students from Dundee and Angus College and Abertay University and Dundee Hawkhill Harriers coaches officiated.
