A range of breweries will be serving up drinks.

After its successful first year in 2022, Dundee Brew Fest is returning to Bonar Hall with a range of drinks, entertainment and even a podcast.

But what is Dundee Brew Fest and what can you expect if you are heading along?

With a range of craft beers available to sample, not to mention a whole range of other drinks and some food available, there’s plenty to get stuck in at the festival.

When and where is it taking place?

It takes place on Saturday June 3 at Bonar Hall in the city centre of Dundee from 3pm to 10pm.

Ticket holders will also get 10% and 15% off all weekend from Discovery Beers across the road at Queen’s Buildings and the craft bar range at Spar Dykes of Gray respectively.

Six Degrees North is one of the brewers.

What beers will be on offer?

There will be loads of different brews available for festivalgoers to try out from a range of different breweries.

Around a dozen local breweries from across the region will head to the event to showcase their wares.

The breweries involved include:

  • Overtone
  • West Beers
  • Reids Gold
  • Law Brewing Co
  • Walky Talky Brewing Co
  • Up Front Brewing
  • Beer Ink
  • Edinburgh Cider Co
  • Mah Hoos Brewing Co, launching on the day

Is there anything other than beer that I can try?

Yes. There will also be a range of other drinks you can try out including cider and a range of cocktails.

One For The Road is a mobile cocktail bar with both classics and modern trendsetting drinks on the menu.

Carnoustie Distillery will also head along with their range of unique gins, rums and vodkas.

For the designated driver or when you’ve had a bit too much alcohol, Cruise will provide refreshing homemade soft drinks.

How many people are expected?

Several hundred people have already purchased tickets, and more festivalgoers are anticipated to turn up on the day.

Will there be food available?

Street food is on the menu at Dundee Brew Fest.

Fife-based Screaming Peacock, specialising in high quality wild venison and pheasant burgers, will be in attendance serving up their in-demand meals.

Magic 5 Pizza will also make the trip from Perthshire, firing up their wood fired pizza oven.

The popular Starfish Cakes & Bakes will also be on hand to cover all dessert needs.

What about entertainment?

Two local bands will be putting on a show, Fannyboot and Cherry Bombz.

There are also two podcasts making an appearance, Football, Beer and Punk Rock Podcast and Krusty’s Third Nipple. While the former is self-explanatory, the second covers movies and beer.

Anything else I need to know?

You can use both cash and card at the event, however, it is only suitable for those aged 18 and over.

Tickets, which are priced at £15, include all day entry and a branded festival pint cup.

There will also be a raffle to raise money for Cash For Kids. Prices include festival hampers filled with goodies from vendors.
