An Angus Cub Pack are hoping Hollywood and Broadway star Alan Cumming will pay them a visit after discovering he was a member of the pack back in the 1970s.
The connection was discovered when the X-Men star posted a Throwback Thursday photograph of himself as a Newbigging Cub on a visit to Edinburgh in 1973 on Instagram.
Now the boys and girls of Newbigging Cub Pack have written to invite him to join them at their hut to find out how much has changed since he was a Cub 45 years ago.
Scout Group leader Lynne Cattanach said: “Lots has changed in Cubs since the 1970s and perhaps one of the biggest changes is that girls are now Cubs too.
“However there are lots of other things that have stayed the same like the neckie the Cubs wear, which is the same Alan is wearing in the 1973 photograph, and the hut we meet in. Mind you the hut has moved location since the 1970s!”
The Cubs are hoping Alan can visit the next time he is back in Scotland and maybe help them with some campfire songs.
