A driver was punched after two teens on mountain bikes blocked an Angus road and refused to move.

The incident took place at the junction between Abbotsford Road and Benedict Road in Arbroath at about 4.50pm on Friday, July 20.

Two young men, both believed to be roughly 18-years-old, blocked the path of a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

After refusing to get out of the way, they preceded to punch the driver.

A Tayside Police Division spokesman said: “The driver of a silver Vauxhall Corsa was approached and assaulted by two young men on mountain bikes.

“They had initially blocked the road with their bikes, refused to move, then punched the driver of the car.

“Officers want to trace two men about 18 years of age. The first is described as about 6ft in height, slim build, with long dark scruffy hair.

“The second is about 5ft 5, stocky build, and has short dirty blonde hair. Both were wearing hooded tops and were on mountain bikes.
